um... ohpa... get your PC checked out ASAP... and backup everything important... if your computer is running differently after a BSOD then that means there is a high likelihood of hardware issues or damage. ram is a possible culprit and one i had issues with for months before fixing (didn't know what was wrong at the time). backup your files. check your hardware, and if you can swap out the ram sticks. if you're not comfortable doing that yourself or you're on a laptop then take it to a professional and tell them that performance changed after a BSOD and ask for a full diagnostic to make sure hardware is not faulty/damaged. that is assuming you can afford it (which is totally understandable if you cant. you're not Walter Stroud). important thing is you take it seriously and backup everything.
Also try disabling VSYNC if you haven't already. But make sure to limit your framerate. If you have NVidia, you can do that in the NVidia control panel. no clue about AMD or anything else, as i never used anything but NVidia cards.
If you don't limit your framerate, physics could go wanky at best, or your hardware might overheat and get permanently damaged at worst. The latter is always possible though, if something is wrong with the cooling. This shouldn't happen usually, but it's not impossible, and limiting fps keeps your GC from working overtime.
