Game is completely dark and lighting looks terrible.

I found a few posts on this but I'd figure I start my own discussion. The game looks awful, I was turning up my FSR and boom, something broke and now I cannot find the solution.

I'm reinstalling the game and hopping I don't come past this again, but if you experienced this and have a solution of some sort. Feel free to share!

Same issue here, not sure what's causing it. Game seemed to work fine for a good while and then lighting and shadows broke sometime after I exited an interior cell.

Tried messing around with video settings and even turned off HDR and verified files, but nothing seems to work.

Same. My lighting completely broke after the first encounter and entering the first building after landing. Everything is dark, flash light turns on but doesn't work, no settings seem to rectify the problem.

I had to turn off HDR as auto HDR seems to not work properly. My screen had that grey hue to to with it enabled.

If you are running an NVIDIA gpu try using the filters, I turned on the Contrast filter and messed with it a bit game looks great now with HDR off.

I also use the color filter and turn saturation up as i'm colorblind and it helps me see all the colors.

Lower resolutions are very dark. Too dark. higher resolutions are fine. Seems to me an issue with lower end rigs for the most part

same as you, feels like there is no sun light, some shadow are ultra pixelated even if im in ultra without fsr on

My game was totally fine until I messed with some graphic options, now all the lighting is basically totally broke. Their flashlights aren't working in the intro and the lights just flicker when I spin around.

I think motion blur seems to have influence on lightning, when you turn it on and off it seems to change stuff

I went into the nvidia control panel and set the image settings to emphasize performance, now my games running correctly and there's actual lighting again.

Agreed on motion blur. I turned it off and thats what sent my game on a death spiral. Flashlight stopped working and all the lighting got wonky. Had to go back 3 hrs in a save to find a place where the glitch hadnt happend yet

Ive been running on performance setting ima switch to quality to see if it helps. also gonna turn on motion blur cause i turned it off.

Nothing has worked. Everytime I turn on my flashlight now it gets superbright for a split second then dim again. This is pissing me the ♥♥♥♥ off every game launch has been broken as ♥♥♥♥ on pc. Every single one.

in the same page brother. im just glad its not just me. i assumed i ♥♥♥♥♥♥ something up along the way. Its nice to see we are all suffering together atleast. I dont wanna refund because the first hour was really good. Just after that the lighting ♥♥♥♥ itself. Just gonna go to sleep and hopefully it gets fixed
