The lack of problems that I have personally experienced today is actually weirding me out. Who is this impostor and what did they do with the real Bugsthesda?
I have a 2080 super and the game runs fine.
The game was developed for Xbox (not even this generation) and are pretty much only optimized for that.
Eventually they will patch in stuff to make it better for PC users. But ports always have issues with various elements. Remember to give your feedback, you are playing Early Access after all.
The difference is that Baldur´s Gate 3 was developed for PC and ported to consoles, while it is vice versa for this game.
This is what EXACTLY happened to me.
I let windows do its auto update thing, and there was soooo many damn updates. All of them finished after like 2 hours. So I tried to play starfield again. Still same issue. WTF!
Searched online and people said its the 22H2 update that you need to play starfield. and some guy said to check the windows updates history to make sure the 22H2 update didnt fail.
Welp, thats the EXACT update that was failed to update. All the other updates installed successfully, and the ONE DAMN UPDATE I NEED is the one that failed. GOT F**KING DAMMIT! No wonder it didnt work, the damn update didnt install correctly.
Searched online and saw some windows forum post of people who has this exact issue. 22H2 update just kept failing over and over (they also trying to get starfield to work) windows advisor said to click on some link he/she provided to download the 22H2 update exe file itself and update windows that way if the auto updates doesnt work.
So I tried that, and finally, the update worked, by now my computer windows UI is looking HELLA different.
Tried starfield, and It finally booted up, sitting in the main menu as I type this.
So, to fix this problem
I've been trying to get this to work since 9:30pm, its now 3:30am before I finally got it to work.
Yes, I noticed I had quite a few updates but it was never ending... thought my windows was bugged... gonna give it another go and see how many more it takes -- Thanks
