Crashing and closing Discord?

Game keeps crashing right as I'm going to meet the client after character select. AMD says it's something to do with driver or something but drivers are up to date. Also closes discord after crash

64GB 6000MGh DD5
RX 7900xtx
Temps are fine, GPU usage is 100% utilized.

Gonna try turning down some things for now and see how that works out, will get back if I find anything, I think it's weird that it is force closing Discord on crash

So, I lowered graphics to Medium settings, usage is sitll around 100% but im not crashing where I was. t seems like, if I had to guess, it has something to do with reflections or something like that since the area that was crashing me was very heavy in reflections and lighting. Might mess around with setting to see just what was causing the crash.

I'm having similar issues, except only Discord is crashing and the game is just fine. Happens consistently after lockpicking. Weird behavior =D

Also having this issue, Nvidia not AMD. Happens a lot more often if I'm straming the game via discord.

Running nvidia hardware here, i was having some issues, i disabled the discord overlay capabilities and it seemed to clear up alot of those issues, the game does just keep crashing every 20-30 min or so.

Still having the issue? I have the same problem with the same GPU but 7800X3D. This same issue was happening in Baldurs Gate 3 a few days ago but turning off XMP and tinkering a bit its fine now.

Same here. Game is fine but discord crashing. I was streaming the game and watching a friend's stream at the same time.

Stop using discord overlay. Overlays absolutely will cause a CTD in either the overlay app or the game.

Even with it off it still has issues, I can confirm that won't change it.

Not sure if this is still an issue for others and hopefully this is a viable temporary fix until Starfield/Discord get a patch but, in Discord under 'Voice & Video' I've:

Disabled Hardware Acceleration,
Disabled AV1 Video Codec
& Disabled Open H264 Video Codec provided by Cisco Systems Inc.

Streaming Starfield in discord whilst watching a stream also in discord seems to be stable for me over the past 10+ hours
