HUD disappear during space fights?

Am I the only this happens to? It takes away my control of the ship + my HUD, am I doing something wrong or did the tutorial fail to explain this is a normal occurrence?

I'm trying to figure out this exact same issue. I don't know if it is a bug in game or a flight mode I can't get out of.

I have an another bug : i cannot leave my seat while in space ...
I press E but it keep targeting other vessels ... Do you know how to solve this ?

When you press q in space flight you can disable the Hud. Just press again.

I found a temp quick fix. Seems like I was ending up in Free-Aim mode (hold mouse 3).

To get controls back to normal.
1. Turn off Free-Aim (hold mouse 3)
2. Zoom out(mouse scroll) then zoom back in

This is the only way I get my Flight hud back.

i'm getting this too. The fix doesn't work.

I have no control over the ship, if i press the button to get up from my ship i am invisible, as is the ship.

Reloaded 3 hours back last night to fix it. Now it's happened again

Having the same thing. Unable to play at all now. When in space, cant see anything only stars. Also, when exiting the sit by long pressing E, UI disappears, and only stars fills the whole screen.

To anyone having this bug, it's a keybind problem, rebind your keys, specially for view outside your ship, anything that removes the UI will be in the flight category.

I think "Q" is the other options for quickly cycling through your camera.

This is what fixed it for me. It was tough to even get to another star system since I struggled to power up my jump drive without seeing what I was doing, but this was the only way I found to get my HUD back.

Just had this bug. Quitting out of the game, opening it again and loading my save fixed it for me,

Thank you! Same exact issue and worked perfectly! Restarting game twice did not help.
