PC performance is terrible !
I cant even hold stable 60 frames on the lowest settings possible and in 1080p. I never seen a game with worse optimization than this one. You guys can shill all you want, but there is absolutely no reason for a game that has the same graphics as Fallout 4 and is not even open world to run this incredible bad. This is unacceptable.

Just in 2023 alone i played on my pc Resident Evil 4, Armored Core, Baldur's Gate 3, Dead Space, Returnal and Diablo 4, all of them on ultra settings with 60+ fps. And all of these games look much much better than Starfield. So stop the excuses, its not a hardware problem its a Bethesda problem.

i7 9700k
32gb RaM
Rtx 2070
and yes the game is installed in a M.2 SSD

Digital Foundry analysis confirming the game is a mess on pc.
This is my user benchmark.[www.userbenchmark.com]
This video shows how terrible the game runs in a 3060.
This video shows how incredible awful the optimization in this game is for a lot of cards.

Better than my 7FPS in Star Citizen though eh.....
Games not even released and so many cry babies on here.
Then realises hes not using an SSD......

Really? FSR off? DLSS mod?

I'm running it at ultra 1440p. Overall it does decent. It runs at 60+ fps mostly, except in highly populated areas my CPU is maxing out and causing audio skips and frame drops. The gpu is getting 100 most of the time which is good.
I did overclock my cpu slightly and it did improve the audio skipping and frame drops. Still the game needs some work.

I dunno, intel CPU's must just be absolute garbage or something. I thought they were suppose to be amazing CPU's but I guess not judging by all of the performance issues being reported?

I have an AMD 7800x3d, and RTX 4070Ti, and the game runs at 60fps at a minimum. Its completely smooth the entire time at high settings.

I skipped Intel this gen. 13900K is a joke - requires at least 360 water cooling to be not throttled, performance in most games is worse than 7X3Ds. It is cheap compared with my 7950X3D though, especially when you take into account the cost of motherboard. I will give it that.

Oof. First gen Ryzen had pretty bad IPC man. You would see a HUGE difference with a Ryzen 5xxx if you don't want to upgrade to 7xxx.

Yep but gaming is not my first hobby. ;)

Ultra Settings on everything. Up-scaling turned off. 3440 x 1440 resolution. Getting over 60 FPS everywhere except Atlantis in certain areas. By the constellation entrance for example. Dips to 40fps around there but goes away as soon as i leave the area and its right back to 60-120fps afterwards. This includes dogfights and docking enemy ships and fighting.
Besides certain parts of Atlantis, it seems to stay well at 60 or above. Which feels acceptable for a Bethesda day 1 release. lol

It's certainly playable on my 6650 XT, but I would expect a little more than 45-60 FPS (with optimized settings) depending on the location. Often its also the empty planets that run the worse. And the game is nowhere near pretty enough to run this badly. There's open world games with a ton more graphical fidelity that run better. This definitely needs more optimizations.

The way in which AMD sponsored games block Nvidia IQ and performance features is plain and simple toxic. Sponsoring should mean showcasing the best your hardware can do and ensuring your best innovations are highlighted... but what we have is just nerfing Nvidia hardware and the humiliation of having a random guy mod DLSS + Frame generation into the game 48 hours after the game was launched.

Lazy devs + AMD sponsorships = 2023 PC performance woes. Disgusting.

already found it sussy that my gpu fans are barely making noise, staying at 60c while at 100%, it feels like my gpu is barely being used at all

Game still maintains just over 70 FPS in 4k. I know 4k is demanding but the textures here look terrible.

Y'all need to fix your setups.

I'm chilling in new atlantis on maximum settings WITH reshade already modded in and I'm doing 50 to 60fps just fine.

RTX 3080 12GB
Ryzen 7 5800X3D
32GB DDR4
M.2 SSD

Outside new atlantis in most other areas it holds 60 to 80 fps with no real stutters, it's smooth the entire time.
