I've read somewhere that the CPU rather than GPU is the bottleneck for this game. I guess I need to upgrade my CPU lol.
now for the subject yeah performance is crap atm, i hope they add dlss soon bc now it looks like im running on 720p ...
I have a i9 12900k, RTX 3090 and 32GB DDR5 ram @6200Mhz CL32. I get lows of 40 FPS.
GPU: EVGA 24GB GDDR6X GeForce RTX 3090 Ti FTW3 ULTRA GAMING (24G-P5-4985-KR)
CPU: Ryzen 9 5950X (12c/24)
RAM: 64Gb (16 x 4) at 3600Mhz
M.2 NVME SSD: 2 x 2TB Samsung 980 Pro
Mobo: ASUS Crosshair VIII Hero
Barely above 50 FPS on ULTRA. Going to HIGH doesn't make a lot of difference and visuals get much worse. No upscaling as it sucks. I am resorting to Reshade soon to sharpen things up too, as the visuals are too blurry for me. I will lose more FPS with Reshade, but will have to trim settings down anyway to get the clarity / FPS I prefer.
I am astonished at how poor the game engine is. I run all my other top tier games at vastly higher frame rates without needing any upscaling. I hope they optimise it.
The awesome people paying 69.99 are paying 13.99 more to be bug testers, I love it, I know Microsoft loves it.
By the time the 6th comes around those that patiently waited will have a quality release.
Thanks.
Running at 4K here, 4080 & 12900k, it's nearly impossible to get a 60fps lock there. Lowering settings does very little to increase the performance. The only way I managed to lock it to 60 was by upscaling extremely aggressively (<60% scaling) and even with the DLSS mod, it looks pretty blurry at that point. It's not worth losing half your pixels just to go from 40 to 60 imo.
On a 3070ti , 32gb , AMD Ryzen9 3900x 24 cores it goes at 30 fps locked in 4k ultra, 45 fps at high in 1080p in both cases at 50% rendering scale with fsr2 on but it looks like a cow licked my monitor back and forth despite sharpening. In closed enviroments it hits 80fps with 2 actors but when you go around the city is very low, the only 2 planets I cheked so far are around 45/74 depending on where you look. Opening the menu sometimes kills the fps to 11 and going back to the game it caps at 11 fps and I have to wait several seconds before upscaling kicks in (same as Cyberpunk btw when I open the map) to get back to stable higher fps.
I can't imagine how this runs on consoles.
This game needs 3 things:
1-DLSS3
2-Better CPU usage on threads
3-Less loading screens and more streaming
Beside performance the loading screens for transitions are annoying, everything has a loading breaking point.
I understand this engine can't handle some stuff properly given the already poor performances, but like this it's not completely appropriate to the genre. Not saying it's a deal breaker but it almost is.
