Starfield is a flop from a critical standpoint

7/10 from IGN is already a HUUGE red flag but there's also more from PC gamer ect. Most of the high scores i'm seeing is from xbox sites who are obviously going to score it high. I really thought this game was going to be decent and it's a massive disappointment since Bethesda's previous game was also a flop in Fallout76. Maybe we expected too much from them?

The guy at IGN who gave it a 7 also gave Prey a 5/10/. Prey was considered by many to be the game of the year. Reviews are experiences from individuals at the end of the day.

every review site is giving it an average of 8 if you look at them as a whole and metacritic is at 88 that's a decent game

IGN lies in favor of devs who pay them and against devs who don't. This has been known for the last 15 years. Who cares though? Nobody expected Starfield to be a great game, it's a Bethesda game. It's going to be buggy and janky and modders are going to make it good in 2 years.

That's because Bethesda are still in the mid 2000's and so is their engine. It was bound to catch up with them eventually.

If you buy a Bethesda game thinking it is going to be a 10/10, that is a huge red flag. You buy Bethesda games to allow mods to add features and fix problems.
