I just want a good timesink to take my mind of daily grind, and a good game with mods often does that quite well, if you feel the looks matter the most sure Xbox s, me i prefer the mods down the line.
Your computer will run the game fine. Use reasonable settings. Your RX 5700xt is more capable and powerful than an Xbox Series S.

I got the S due to NBA 2k putting out different versions of the game for PC and console. Oddly enough, the PC version gets the sh!t version while only console gets the new features each year. Expensive buy just for one game? Yeah you bet! Butttttt the industry wins here, they have a monopoly on the genre so I have no choice. If I want to play an up to date NBA game it had to be on console..sigh
GTX 1650 is the most used video card according to Steam as of July 2023 report. That's about equivalent to a Series S.
Hell, even Starfield only requires an NVIDIA GeForce 1070 Ti on PC though I sure as hell wouldn't want to play potato mode.
I don't think the most popular video card is holding back the industry. I think it's an excuse.
