My system specs are ok except my video card - GTX - 970

Will the game even run for me ?
I have no issues or even slow downs with any other games.

Thanks

It will be bare minimums at best even if you can get it to run.

The 970 is a generation and a half behind the minimum (1070ti) and only has 4gb vram.

that's a definite NO. minimum is an 8gb vram gpu
I upgraded from a GTX 960 and would never attempt to play a game like this

He's not wrong, even the GTX 1080ti guys are probably going to have trouble. But who knows for sure. You can always refund. Good luck.

You don't need an 8gb VRAM GPU.

970 and its 3.5GB of RAM.

You will be lucky if it even starts.

You might be able to boot it up, but it will be a slide show at nearly any resolution and settings. Skyrim and Fallout 4 along with other Bethesda games are not kind to average hardware at the time of their release. You are quite a few gens behind, even middle hardware the 20 series and we are currently at the 40 series. Might be time to upgrade and if that is beyond you grab a series x and gamepass because it will be cheaper than most modern gpu's and cpu's combined.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. Sounds like I'll need a new card.
The CPU is an AMD 3700 w 32 GB.
Didn't realise I was getting that out of date . Time flies :)

Oh I still have this graphic card on my potato pc, it's still a good card for some games maybe it will work with starfield.

Now I have a better pc, I don't use the potato pc anymore.

I mean "no issues or even slow downs with any other games" is the vaguest sentence ever lol. What games do you play? Top of the line new releases you absolutely will be having sub-par framerate on that card.

Anyway, a 970 will likely struggle with Starfield. You're probably looking 1080p, Low settings to even get close to 60fps. Even at that, likely not even 60fps
