125 GB is the size of a base game and all future DLCs combined?

I doubt it. The preload was 86gb and unpacked will be 116 so patches and DLC will likely be more than 125gb as the DLC hasn't been made yet

Base game is around 120 gbs. The day one patch is 15 gbs bringing the install size to around 135 gbs and thats without DLC

They use recommend extra space for install packing and unpacking, saves and other small changes to files during gameplay that take up space - it's overkill to ensure players have no issues

As many sites already mentioned: the patch from yesterday does NOT increase the total size, but rather replaces existing files!

As many sites already mentioned: the patch from yesterday does NOT increase the total size, but rather replaces existing files!

also its not a day 1 patch.

a day 1 patch would be a patch coming out on the day the game is released, it was simply just a patch for a game thats not released, something they have done for almost a year since the game is already version 1.7.something

but if the patch is already released, AKA in the game files, how can it be a day 1 patch? have people somehow forgot what a day 1 patch actually is?

what will you call any of the other patches/updates they have done to the game for the last year? -1 day patch, -2 day patch?

It is a patch uploaded shortly before release to make it ready for day 1, I guess. Don't hate the player, hate the game!

well, atleast it means we wont have an actual patch at release, since its already baked into the files.
