i wonder if mods will be supported for pc gamepass..
for now its cheaper to play the game on game pass also since you get lies of P later this month for the same months price anyway,

i just wonder if modding even is made available for pc game pass since they were heavily investing into xbox exclusive :) , or if i HAVE to buy the steam version to even get mods to work here :P ,

ofc it will work.

the ingame modding downloader will allow it, probably also some non script-extender mods.

but im pretty sure when it comes to script extender and mods needing it, its a no.
yes, mods will work. They will be limited to mods that don't modify the executable though.

so vortex will allow for script extending mods? or no? im having the same issue as OP. spending $35 on game pass for the premium edition sounds a little better to me currently but if it means i wont be able to run some of the best/biggest/coolest mods i will gladly spend the extra money. done extensive googling and have no concrete answers.

thank you.

If you plan on using a PS5 controller (or anything aside from Xbox controller), Steam is the only place to activate.
I'll be interested to see if Vortex finally is an okay choice with a bathesda title or if it continues to be the worst option in a long list of Mod Managers. Otherwise its just going to continuously be inferior due to how it was designed to the old NMM, MO2, and Wrye managers.

If Vortex does become the best option, that would be utterly massive for new people coming into the modding scene for streamlining the experience without having to do a bunch of research beforehand.

Windows Store games can support DirectInput controllers just fine so it's really up to BGS on supporting those there. Some of the games even support DualSense features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers
