Reading between the lines, and with the extremely careful use of wording it's quite obvious what is going on behind the scenes. There is a massive sponsorship and contract agreement (linked to the game bundling with AMD HW) which of course cannot be shared... that's where the truth lies.
Sadly studios, or should I say publishers don't want to do what's best for all gamers these days and it's just money money money of course.
Plus paywall something that a modder doesn't hold the rights, hmmmm i wonder how much until the green suits send a letter to stop or get sued, since isn't open source or neither has the right to commercialize it. Disclaimer: I've modded for 20+ years and i fully love modding and the modding scene, but if its your own work, sure you may ask for donations or have a deal with the devs for a cut, but selling something not owned is a big no-no, even free mods that doesn't give credit to other modders is a big no-no....
Don't make profit for things you don't own, FFS stop the exclusivity schemes, we HAD ENOUGH, either exclusive to console A or B, to Store A or B and now upscaling/gpu schemes..... >_< Besides on the past we've seen games sponsored by both sides and we didn't had this BS or locking alternatives.
A NEW LOW.........
