I think ill be fine without DLSS.
Also, Bethesda is designing games for PC and porting them to consoles, never the other way around like Ubisoft or EA whom do consoles first and then port to PC...
Sooo lets say this, AMD has a contract with Bethesda for Starfield having only AMD FSR support and all the AMD stuff in hopes to increase their sales... Which means Bethesda took the deal for extra cash but the backlash from fans whom expected good graphics is gonna be more than what AMD could ever offer... That being said, AMD wont increase sales, Bethesda will suffer from sales and reviews and the deal will be dropped so Bethesda could implement RTX support to make fans happy... Literally 70% gaming rigs have Nvidia card cuz AMD just cant keep up with raytracing which is the major selling point for games and is the reasong why Cyberpunk is the best looking game so far thanks to RT Overdrive and DLAA...
I guess most people here are too young to remember but similar issue like this was with Nvidia PhysX and Nvidia HairWorks cuz for example Mafia had Nvidia PhysX and car damage detail and bits of glass lying on the car and ground when smashed was much much better than the rockstar console optimized scripted damage model in GTA III, GTA VC and GTA SA... Then they did it well in GTA IV but dropped it for GTA V and they went back to prescripted damage model...
Soooo that being said, at this stage its kinda too late but to everyone whom keeps dissing AMD, just dont... Cuz if you own RTX GPU you still gonna get better framerates than any AMD user cuz AMD cant keep up, have lower tier HW that even RTX 4060 can beat with ease...
Agree completely, but as it stands now, for those of us with Nvidia cards, DLSS is a more optimized experience than without. I haven't seen enough evidence to suggest FSR works well with Nvidia either.
I know this, which is why we're able to lock our frame-rate in the Nvidia Control Panel to whatever our CPU can safely handle.
I don't believe I'll need DLSS for Starfield since I'll most likely run 1080p.
