Jet Pack Question
The jet pack footage I've seen, seems to be just the standard boost and drop variety is that correct or is it more like the Anthem flight model (wishful thinking I know)

You get the jet pack purchasing a perk. The jet pack will improve as you level it up. It's like the jet pack in Mass Effect Andromeda.

TA pretty much figured that, but was hoping for inflight directional change.

When you take the traits and maxed out skills for jetpack it's going to feel a lot more like Anthem than you think :steamhappy:

No one knows what max level in it does. There was that 1 interview that talked about maxxing another perk that lets you make armor and guy said he felt like ironman, so how much flight it gives at max level is another but whether you can adjust flight is also unknown. It could also have another advanced perk, not sure if all of them have been id'd yet. Few more days and we will know :)

Now that is good news. Thanks for the reply

I mean, one dev says it's the first skill he earns. Me, I'm going sneaky-stabby-smooth talker route.

You can hover, but if there's dashing we don't know yet.

I could have sworn in the Direct they did an air dash.

Given that mobility is good definitely thinking high armour death from above style.

P.s I realise there a lot of unknowns at this stage.

Well, he indicated that if you don't take at least one skill point in it, it won't work at all. That there were a lot of playtesters thinking their pack was broken because they hadn't skilled in it at all. If true I'd want at least one point in it no matter what my build.

I'm talking about the Pete Hines interview to be specific.

From what I have read the skill is purchased and then you need to boost 10 times in combat to level 2. K don't know if levelling up skill gives you instant perk or if you have to purchase level 2 to get it, and then there the question of what said perk might be. well 3 days it will all become clear.

I'd imagine in flight directional shifting/hovering like in mechwarror would either be a Mod a perk or DLC.

No, the jetpack doesn't turn you into iron man....

While ironman mode would be good all I was really hoping for was hover and mid air dash.
