From what we've seen, character customization is pretty interesting regarding body shape. Body type 1 or 2 and then a proportion and slider system for weight, muscle, etc.

It might be workable. Not sure how they handled clothing but since they have inclusive pronouns in character creation we can hope that they clothing will be set up to go on whichever body.

No one cares about character creating anyone can just bypass the options and ignore. It's any possible vital story line NPC that forces the player to have a positive interaction with someone he or she would not want to associate with in RL is the issue and still a rumor only.
