if i land on the same spot without building a base, does it look the same?
or is it proseduraly generated so that it will look totaly different "incase i dont build a base there that makes it static?". also if i have 2 bases 40 min walk from echother within the ♥♥♥♥ limit they put on the maps.. is there then a teleporter to go between them so i dont have to walk 40 min ?

I don't think anyone here has the real answer; it's all just speculation. The game hasn't been released yet, after all. :)

just thought if anybody heard something i might have missed lol.. i can imagine you might be able to land on youre base if you build one.. and maybe fly between them if they are in the same "area"... yet. i still wonder if i go to a place wich has a crater. leave that planet for hours and come back to 100% same place. will the crater still be there. or i can just reland on the same spot 200 times and it always look different,.

They did mention a small section of some planets will be handcrafted (Capital City / Quest locations for example) but the majority of them will be procedural. As of leaving a planet and returning later, I have no clue on that as it was not mentioned on how saving would be handled.

That's actually not a bad question; we'll find out.

for you each spot will always look the same... just other players will have a slightly different random generated area there

I think your previous "landing spots" stay on the planet so you can revisit them later (based on some leaked screenshots i saw online)

What Im wondering tho is, if I first make a landing spot, then as close as possible to the north of that landing spot i make another one, would they be "connected" so to speak?
Like if there was a mountain exactly in between the landing spots, would half of the mountain show up in each of the landing spots?

yea wonder the same... cause if i walk 40 min to get to the "invisible wall" but i see something on the other side i wanted to visit.. going back to the map and choice a landing site slightly to the rigt of my first, so i can keep going from where it told i i cant.

OP The answer is yes, unless u start a new game, thats why save games are not compatible with other starts. OR other player starts.

This is completely a guess... based on all the jumbled mixed up information rattling around in my brain, I'm going to say, you most likely CAN teleport (fast travel) between them.

for me it would just feel weird if you go from landing zone A, to B.. and you cant continue from the Invisible wall created in zone A. when you see something on the other side of that stopping wall that you want to go to... so you think oh well i just land on the next zone.,.. and that will look Nothing like what you saw from zone A. lol

exactly! if the planet is actually a full planet made up of "stitched together tiles" like they say, then this should be possible and i hope that is how it works..
but according to some it just creates a random area each time you land, that are independent from the other tiles you have on a planet (would still be a great game im sure but would be a bit disappointing)

Sure it is the same.

The only people anyone here would have heard from are those breaking the NDA and I wouldn't trust a word of what any of them.. people.. say. I'd trust a box of one dozen starving, crazed weasels before I'd trust a filthy NDA breaker.

My box of weasels is telling me that when you visit a planet, it gets generated. After that, it will be exactly the same each and every time you visit, throughout that play-thru. Start a new game, and all bets are off. :D
