Is anyone getting this game physical on xbox series x?

Im curious because i dont like digital games, its like paying full price for renting a movie because its a service and you dont own the game. Are the series x games playable offline without patch? ive heard you have to make a xbox account and connect to the net one time and thats it.

Whats the big deal? If OP wants to run physical copy then that's his thing. I didn't even realize they were selling physical copies of this game. I do have both PC and XBox series X. Still bought and DL from microsoft site. I haven't bought a physical copy in probably over 10yrs as DL is easier and quicker. Just the way things have headed. At least he is here posting something related to this game and not using to push some stupid ass agenda on people.

I can't 100% tell you on that for this game currently. However most the games I do have on console do require an internet connection. Heck even to get the console to start up and going it always wants an internet connection at least for start up. Also from my understanding is that some of the discs just contain the install files then no more disc required to play.

I can't 100% tell you on that for this game currently. However most the games I do have on console do require an internet connection. Heck even to get the console to start up and going it always wants an internet connection at least for start up. Also from my understanding is that some of the discs just contain the install files then no more disc required to play.

That sucks that you have to be online to play even if its single player games, what if there is something wrong with the connection and you want to play offline? they shouldnt make single player games always online.

Can't disagree with you on that one. That's for sure. Is what it is though. Some you can play offline with some options not working. In some cases cant access content even though it is still single player content.

True, its not like i can sell it or something or have control over it and play it offline and dont have to redownload it or anything.

well its you who started to get all technical about it.
a physical disc does not mean you own it.
if you break your disc, you lost the "rights" to that license and you have to buy it again.

I can also sell a game account, that does not mean I own said account.

If the game data is fully on the disc and doesn't require an internet connection or added download (it may benefit from these things but that's different to a requirement) then the OP is correct in that you truly own it in a way that you never can on a platform like Steam etc. One only need to look at the actions of Ubisoft recently threatening to close accounts not activated in a certain amount of time...

I love my PC gaming but have backed up almost all of my favourite games with physical media (PC when possible but mostly as console copies) - it's closest thing to control you can have.

I prefer digital, I don't want games cluttering up my apartments. I game a lot and travel a lot, not lugging cases of discs around, LoL. I can log into steam from anywhere, I can use consoles digital games with an account.

Look how dumb the physical disc PS5 looks compared to my slim digital only PS5.
