Is anyone getting this game physical on xbox series x?
Im curious because i dont like digital games, its like paying full price for renting a movie because its a service and you dont own the game. Are the series x games playable offline without patch? ive heard you have to make a xbox account and connect to the net one time and thats it.

I suggest you go to the official Xbox forums, this is Steam ... for people with computers. Nobody here really gives a rip about consoles.

You still don't own the game, just the media it's on.

You very much do as you have it physically in your hands, can play it offline, can sell, borrow and trade, digital games have none of that, its a service.

You still don't own it. Even if you sell or trade it, it's just like you're passing on the license to play the game to someone else. Developers own the game, nobody else.

What are you talking about? i own the physical copy so i own the game, the digital is a service which you dont own, cant, sell borrow or trade AND they can deny you access to it if they want, is it hard to grasp simple things?

There is no point arguing with these blatant trolls, the Starfield forum is riddled with them, between the Sony fan boy freaks that are upset their exclusivity deal backfired on them, the anti-Star citizen trolls who still manage to be anti-starfield in the same rant trying to trash talk SC, then there is just moronic trolls who spout nonsense for the sake of it.

What you own is a disc that has the key needed to download the game - you still need to download it - there is no actual physical copy (until you have it downloaded and all the files are on your PC/Laptop).

EDIT - My apologies, I missed the part about xBox - yes, the game is on a physical disc for xBox. From https://bethesda.net/en/game/starfield/article/4BDnzduJQMiST4JXwqI8Pb/starfield-preorder-bonuses-early-access

Under STARFIELD STANDARD EDITION category:

"Game disc included with physical purchases of Xbox Standard Edition."

No, just nitpicking technicalities. Doesn't matter. Freddie's right. Console disks can be shared among friends, bought and sold used, etc... You may not own the software but you own the disc it is on.

Edit: They are being phased out because publishers don't want you sharing with your friends. They want everyone to pay to play. Arguing for that is just shilling for the man. LOL The things people do.
