Will "SOME" not all. planets have different biomes "on the same planet" ?
for example iknow we have barren, frozen, unfrozen. maybe fauna frozen.. anyways..
does anyone know if there is planets that might have both? like,, if you land on the equator its hot or whatever.. but if you go to the poles in the same planet it will be snow?

They better. If a planet shows a polar ice cap but the equator is rock then if I land at the poles there better be snow

yea cause i noticed that some planets does show different biomes.. i just hope it is not a good looking "skin" and actually true facts to where you land.

that the game has 16 biomes does not come with the fact if a whole planet has different ones within itself or its like no mans sky where there is so many biomes but the whole planet is one and the same.
Probably multiple biomes on same planet are possible but just one biome in each cell that you land. Assuming the rumors are true that you can't walk long distances on planet.

I was <guessing> to myself that indeed, you may need to go back to ship and then orbit to land b/t zones. Or, there may be a loading screen between adjacent zones if you walk. Not a game breaker for me, but certainly not ideal.
unlikely... They seem to be more intent on making each planet unique on its own. If they squish different biomes all on the same planet, it'd make other planets look too much the same eventually.

It's not exactly unrealistic either... Mars for example is just a giant red rock all around entirely
People are going to be so disappointed when they finally see what most of the planets are actually like.

Exactly.

The procedural generation should allow for every planetary body to have multiple biomes, but also conditions in space (proximity to stars, its satellites, etc. or the planet's own rotation patterns) could determine what's going on.

I fully expect a tiny planetoid that's far from its sun to be mostly an ice planet, for example.
A planet with a thin atmosphere that's very near a burning gas giant should not have frozen poles. You know, common sense stuff.

Only a small number of places will fit into the Goldilocks Zone, with multiple varied biomes to support those needs. Don't expect every planet to be a wonderful kaleidoscope of terrain.

you can land in different places on the same biome.
And its confirmed by Todd and the Xbox guy that owns the xbox thingy, that the full planet is explorable. not smal patches.. Yes, you can land, walk for 1 month "real life time" round the equator and come back to youre ship

well they should not show different biomes on the same planet if the planet is one and same biome then.

most of the planets are like in real life. barren, but its not going to be like crappy no mans sky.
you will still find crashed ships, outposts.. and quests on barren planets.

yea that is exactly what i mean though, i dont mean that 8 out of 10 planets should have different biomes.. but in gameplay videos that the devs have shown some planets where you choice where to land, that particular map, have shown different biomes, white, green, brown.
its those special planets im talking bout.
