no moon buggy?
its 2023 and Bethesda still doesn't have land vehicles figured out, if modders could make it happen in FO3 then what excuse does Bethesda have?

("b-but it'll get modded in!" man for $70 can you people be a little less complacent? the industry isn't actually supposed to revolve around communities finishing the development of the games they buy but with Bethesda that's like the accepted hallmark of all their franchises somehow, just because these games lend itself to be modded doesn't have to mean that developers can half bake the entire thing knowing the community is going to take over the reigns post release.)

But you do have a Vehicle, a fully customization and build able space craft... and a jet pack.

"What excuse".

The 'excuse' that it's not interesting and not what the game is built around.

It's built around having a jetpack.

keyword "land" vehicle, something with wheels that go vroom that's faster than traveling these desolate wastelands on foot? last time i checked you only control your spaceship in space.

And? It's a space game with shooting elements by the Doom team. If you want land vehicles you can always play Start Citizen or Elite Dangerous.

Why would they? The survey scans all the planet and you just land where you need to..

and? id Software has games with vehicles in them, why are you suggesting that because the game is a FPS it doesn't have room for vehicles anymore? its 2023 you can more than one feature.

Jetpacks propel the user vertically
Since we will be exploring horizontal landscapes, how was Starfield built around a jetpack?

I think you meant... beyond the devs capabilities, they can't even program a ladder climbing animation

You really want another Rage? Welp perhaps Star Citizen is the right game for you.
rumax Aug 25, 2023 @ 11:05pm
why do you need a lunar rover? do you think you'll ride it from American Apollo landings to Russian moon landings? There are no such places in the game.

pretty sure if Bethesda made a racing game that vehicles would still somehow fall out of their scope because they're struggling so hard with making cars function in their two decade old engine.
