I was forced to buy from gamestop...
I received a gift card from GameStop, even though it's not my preferred choice. Still, free is free. The only remaining game on my wishlist is Starfield. I utilized the $60 from the gift card to purchase it, though I'm unfamiliar with buying PC games from their platform. I'm curious if they will send an email containing the game code upon its release. Strangely, the checkout process requests my shipping address, as if they intend to mail a box with a code – yet the product description mentions that a code will be delivered via email. I'm wondering whether I can redeem this code on Steam, or if I'll likely need to use Xbox for that.

umm this is something you should ask gamestop
anyways if you get starfield for either xbox or pc you should be able to activate a free copy for the other platform.

I used to be a fanboi of gamestop. I left their credit point system with an absurd amount on it. The boys used to tell me they've never seen someone with such a large point balance. That's old news, old company, old times.

So Gamestop right, they will email you a digital copy of the code for the game. They are usually really good about dates. So on the release date expect the email. Your copy is the standard edition and your release date is 06Sep23. Expect the email around 0900 hours.

Enjoy

There are physical copies printed for console but only digital for PC.

So you'll just get a code if you bought it for PC.

Hope you have a powerful computer.
