What is the Red Mile?

Is this Starfield's version of Oblivion's Arena? A challenge course?

I know the Green Mile in Fallout 4 is when you travel with a companion you hate and who hates all you do and you are only traveling with them to unlock a perk or a closed location (personal quest).

Then you reach the boiling point where you literally cannot take anymore, beat them seneless and abandon them on the side of the road.

I think that's on the brink of where there's no law enforcement to be found.

Gangs and cultists and stuff.

So, it's obviously a gathering place for some of the game's biggest threats.

lolll that escalated so far. All I know is in the starfield direct a lady comes and says "A new face! This is the face of a brave runner here to challenge the red mile-" Then it cuts to the crimson fleet and some mustache man doing push-ups and shooting people. Idk if that is an npc you can meet or if that was the player character because I saw the same dude getting arrested in other footage

It's a Blade Runner scenario with the difference that you can right at the start shoot a big hole in the face of the smiley announcer...Fun to see that they all come back from the deaths.
