Are the recommended specs accurate?
I have noticed that alot of the time my computer can run most games that came out the last few years on highest settings even tho it isnt really brand new so I am sceptical that my rig will just barely be able to run Starfield but maybe it is such a huge step up in visuals, what do I know. Cyberpunk for example I can run on very high settings on almost everything for example.

AMD Ryzen 5 3600
6-Core Processor
amd radeon rx 5700

Are we talking low on all settings or will I be able to go high/very high on particles, textures and such?

The specs have always been ballpark
what you don't want is to be around the minimum (that's usually unplayable)
Cpu is fine (could be a bit better)
I'm not entirely familiar with the 5700 but from looking at benchmarks I'd say you're likely okay if you stay within 1080p. Settings wise it's anything from low-high depending on how things go.

Is it not bethesda themselves that put he min and rec specs on the store page?
Seems like 5700 is in the minimum specs.

Hopefully it can run somewhat then, maybe.
Thanks for response.

low settings -- 1070.
5700 20% faster. You can try average settings.
I use 5700xt i try high for 1080p:angrydwarf:

You can still buy it, try it, and refund under two hours if you can't run it.

Well, you do have a 2hr window to see how it runs. If it's unplayable then you can refund it if you want.

I wouldn't worry about it too much
Worst case scenario you can always use the nvidia cloud gaming service.
it's still way to early to tell.

however we havnt had any leaks about it being hard to run, so things are looking positive but we won't be sure until after launch

I think the system recommendations actually comes from Bethesda in Starfield's case due to the fact that they are actually on Bethesda's website.

Until the game is released and we can see real world samples on hardware. I feel like a lot of people will have to wait and see if their notebooks/desktop rigs performance will be acceptable.

Yes. I verified them and then traveled back in time to answer this question.

After looking at store page again I noticed..
They removed the requirement for xbox live account? yay.

The specs are probably driven by the most heavy scene/situation of the game.

In every other scene the game will run with lesser hardware.

games that come out now or before or later are never a clear indicator of how others will run.

but yes you should be able to play this game with fsr quality and medium settings at 1080p to get 60~fps.
