4gb VRAM Concerns
starwars Jedi survivors lists 8GB minimum, just like starfield, and you can manage 40fps on low 1080p. And that game is horribly optimized. (No i don't think this game is going to be optimized well on launch...) You should be able to run starfield low 1080p with playable framerates.

*DUrrRR it'S 2023 WhY yOU OnlY haVe 4 GB VRAM* Yes I agree completely with this statement, and yes, for a desktop pc you should definitely upgrade

The 3050ti laptop has been a super popular choice for lower end budget laptops, a lot of people have it. There's a 2021 and 2022 edition so it's not even an old laptop. Completely the buyers fault for not knowing what they're buying, sure. You can't simply just upgrade it either without buying a whole new laptop so...Nevertheless you should be good to go assuming you actually have 16gb ram also.

I finished dead space remake on my notebook which has a 3050 4gb. The game held steady at 30 -40 FPS.

Dead space remake literally has the same requirements as starfield, minus TI.

So yes, as long as you don't mind playing at low + DLSS performance and perhaps downscaling, yes, 4GB Vram will do the trick.

So just play on 1900x resolution, it should be enough, especially on medium - high details

you would be better to have brought it on windows so if it dont work on your pc then you could go play it on xbox as when you buy it on windows you get two copies for one price.

Its not even close to the same. DLSS is superior, everyone know this even AMD/ATI, thats why they pay developers to not implement it.

I remember that I tested dead space both in DLSS and in FSR 2, I didn't see so many differences. But, I confess that my eye is not the sharpest.

The average gamer will not notice a difference. On the tech shows they pause it and analyse every detail. FSR 3 is coming out very soon so should bridge the gap.

Yeah, with 4GB VRAM I would be concerned too.

Probably no maximum settings possible with that. At least as long as you don't want to play a stuttering mess.
my laptop also has a 3050 and I'm going to try SF on it but I don't have great hopes it'll play well.

I'll probably keep it on my main PC.

But, other games like Cyberpunk run really well on my little laptop so who can say?
