Unfortunately I think we're working with a Spore system where you make everything out of ellipsoids and cargo boxes, not some kind of smooth appearance like this.

I am also hoping they have asymmetric as well. I woujld really like the cockpit set off to one side for my design. But I'll have fun either way.
