PIRATES and TORRENT???
Forgive my bad English.

Dear developers, explain to me WHY buy a regular edition if the game comes out without protection?

I will explain my logic.
The premium edition will be available on September 1. If the game does not have DRM protection, then on the SAME DAY it will appear on pirated torrents!!!!! That is, people who BOUGHT a standard edition will be able to play 5 days later than pirates???!!!

In any case, I bought myself a premium edition, such games are released too rarely, in order to save on them)

People complain when there is DRM
People complain when there is no DRM
People just want to complain :steamdeadpan:

Never heard of the Pirates of Torrance. Penzance, yeah. Barbary Coast Pirates, yeah.

It's not a complaint, my friend, it's a question)

not really much anyone can do about it, pretty much boils down to where there is a will there is a way.

DRM partisans are like Kabuki theater. They have long, elaborate and vigorous scripts they enact, that contain no actual substance. They can only react, and the reaction is invariably the same. The Denuvo types are particularly banal.

They simply assume you're one of the other dancers...

Are you seriously asking for a DRM that would end up eating resources on your pc? Jesus...

Also, even if the game managed to get pirated, you are going to have a tough time not getting further patches for bug fixing and also, getting the latest mods at places like Nexus (plenty of mod authors would require you to have the latest updated version to run, that means having an official copy instead of a pirated one).

The game will require you to log into your Bethesda account, or will have a launcher tied to it, it will be always online even though it's a single player game.

I highly doubt they won't add Denuvo. It will more than likely be added last minute when the game releases, just like most companies do, so they don't miss out of sales.

Skyrim and FO4 were not their most recent titles, all of their recent titles have had denuvo on them.

They crack it anyway.

In-house Bethesda games have never used DRM as far as I am aware.

Well, it does require the steamapi.dll..... So, technically, there is *some* drm..... not that any drm really makes any difference anyway. Games hit the pirate sites within days of release in any event.

I think only if you want to use Bethesda.net mods or Creation Club, the game itself doesn't require a log in just like Fallout 4 and Skyrim SE. Skyrim AE required one but only the content itself was hosted on Bethesda.net not Steam

This is me and I mean that people who bought a standard edition will have access to the game later than those who did not buy it) In my opinion - this is nonsense)

I don't think pirates will get the game first its pretty big, so it'll take a while for most ppl to d/l it over p2p vs downloading the legit game from steam. ppl who do this probably aren't rocking the bestest pcs or the bestest internet.

If there is no protection? I assure you that within 24 hours the game will be on pirated torrents)

Because pirates will pirate regardless, and I want a version that will work with the inevitable script extender without hassle, and I want Beth to say in business and do Elder Scrolls 6 by the end of the decade.

So I'm not gonna pirate, don't give a rat's arse if others do, and don't want pointless DRM BS to eat any of my rigs resources.
