also from what we have seen on planets. You point your drill at some ore and fire, then after a while it breaks and you get some ores.
your outpost will also be a source for mining.
but I dont see how far you come by just mining, its not a sim afterall. its an action RPG game.

also what is the fun in gaming if the devs just tell you everything? is it not more fun to actually discover stuff yourself?
you want a guide for every single city, town, questline and all plot points in the game?
but pretty sure its already been stated in some old interview that it is a planet you can walk around, ofc its just gonna be a worldspace that loop on itself, not an actual round planet.
also again, they never mentioned guilds, so why do you want to know if "guild are actually guilds instead of modest questlines". sounds like you just make up your own stuff.
and in regards to weapons, in FO4 all weapon types were viable at higher difficulties, so if they do follow that, it should work out fine.
