collectors edition

i have been tweeting at Bethesda for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ month asking if the people who got the collectors edition will get their codes via email so we can play early since we wont be getting it before the full game comes out. does anyone know if they have said anything because if they don't that's really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ scummy.

the collector's edition of BG3 didn't have the game code physically etched into an object.

And how are they supposed to send you the correct code that is etched onto the physical object sealed in a box? They can't guarantee that they send you the correct code, especially when third party retailers are selling them. Use some common sense.

they sell them through third party retailers. How is Bethesda going to ensure that Best Buy or Walmart sends out the correct code when the boxes are all sealed?

you had to have an account on every website you order it from. i bought it from wallmart and you needed an account.

And? Your email address isn't going to be on the physical collector's edition that you pick up from the store. It's also not being shared with Bethesda through those retailers and the boxes are still going to be sealed with the code inside. How are those retailers going to know the correct code to send you?

lol don't insult someone because you don't understand how this works. They cannot send you the code that is in the sealed box because third party retailers will have no way of knowing what that code is.

That doesn't mean you can't pick them up in-store. My Constellation Edition through Best Buy is being shipped to my local store and I go pick it up on the 1st. Again, there is realistically no way for Bethesda to distribute the code that is sealed inside the box before release with how they're distributing them.

Yes, they have my email. Now how are they going to match the code to the box that I pick up from the store? The box itself will not have my email address on it. It will not have the code on it. They will get a pallet that contains all of the Constellation Editions being picked up from that store and they'll just give them out randomly to the people that ordered them, like essentially every product ever made. There isn't going to be one specific box that is linked directly to my account.
