from the links above

It was reported exclusively by The Loadout that after being informed by Starfield execs that Cruise wouldn’t need to be performing any stunts or daredevil antics because the associated costs would be too high. A heated spat ensued between Cruise and the execs, which led to the actor cutting tied and ending his involvement.

Tom Cruise brought forward a 5,000-page tome that had his footprints on it. It included plans to create a giant race track outside the orbit, which the developers refused.

The devs wanted to ensure Tom stayed on board, but the actor’s seemingly ridiculous demands for in-house stunts and his own in-game content inclusions were a bit too much for the developers to meet.
Seems like one of these "everybody loses" scenarions.

Tom Cruise just wanted to mod the game.
He is just like us.

oh it was an april's fool article? Well they got me. And Reddit doesn't display dates so.. I mean Star Citizen got Skywalker right, so it's not something out of ordinary.

OP likes to make Troll Topics, but they are really weak...

Like the one where he told only 10.000 digital Copys are available...

If they'd gotten Tom they'd have to had to also pay Kenny Loggins for his sound track.

Is that why Top Gun is one of the few movies post COVID to make a billion box office?

I think thats more related to the first movie was good and people wanted a second, not because of him.

Just look at another tom cruise movie, granted its from 2017 before covid, but still flopped hard and it was a tom cruise movie. The Mummy, it didnt even break even, the studio lost up to 100m USD.

Top Gun wouldn't be Top Gun without Tom..... And while I do not think much of him as a person, he DOES make some cool movies. :D
