This is a Bethesda game, extra items wouldn't mean much anyway - these games are meant to be played for hundreds of hours - so there's no point in really rushing to get the "best gear".
Edit: Also, making money has never been an issue in Bethesda games. Usually, the issue becomes having too much money and nothing to spend it on. Hopefully, the shipbuilding will straighten out the economy a bit.
The more important question is, do you want the DLC whenever that's released without knowing what that'll be?
Also you are from Melbourne mate so just spend the extra coin on the game and not a vegan latte.
wtf is a vegan latte. Must be for girls, right. Right?
Those are just the skins in the Old Mars Pack it seems to me.
Now, we've all pointed out that parts of the Starfield pre-order and premium pack goodies could've been worded a whole lot better.
Personally, I wouldn't buy that just for the skins. I might buy the premium edition for the story pack though, but that doesn't require a pre-order.
You get some items for pre-ordering the base game. Like the Old Mars skin pack. Which includes a mining cutter.
If you pre-order the game you get nothing extra.
If you get the premium edition, you get pre-order items, play early, and some Story DLC expansion that everyone will be able to buy later (possibly also later coming with a pre-order bonus lol).
Then you also get a bunch of stuff that typically in todays day an age means nothing much such as a music score and digital art book, both of which will be available online free cause ppl will upload it or talk about it on video somewhere.
The image is misleading - the text under it is far more informative.
This makes sense since Bethesda games always have base items, but skins (Creation Club content) are sold for those standard items.
No, all 3 "items" are just skins.
In fairness to Bethesda though, gamers have been complaining about pre-order bonuses removing content from the game or creating a "pay to win" system. In this case, the only thing you lose by not pre-ordering is...three basic skins.
If you pre-order, you get the "Old Mars Skin Pack"
Premium = Shattered Space DLC (when it comes out), artbook & soundtrack, Constellation Skin Pack (which is different from the Old Mars Skin Pack), and 5 days early access.
edit: now, whether this is a 'good deal' or not depends on if you're the kind of person who buys 'deluxe' game editions with stuff like soundtracks & artbooks.
(Personally, I don't care much about skins; care not at all for soundtracks/etc, and will get the DLC later once I know more about them. So I don't see much point in the Constellation Edition.)
I can't think of any game that's had pre-order bonuses for it's DLC. MMOs with their major expansions, yes. Regular DLC, no.
