PS5 players might try this (not a troll post)
Just a thought, Game Pass does include access to Xbox cloud. The sub is like $10 a month but you can use the PS5 web browser to access it and you can play lots of game pass games there including Starfield when it releases. I know it's not exactly the same but it might be a option to consider.

I know Xbox is always running $1 deals where the first month of game pass is $1. You can always cancel after the first month if you don't like it.

Just a thought...

Xcloud isn't a feasible way to play right now. Input latency is terrible. I have 1Gig internet, near one of their servers, tried a single player first person game with controller, and had 1-2 second delay.
Most of PS players won't play starfield, because they either can't afford a new system, or just have a laptop, OEM workstation computer. They will however result to watching youtube playthroughs, or twitch streams. Some will just write negative reviews on metacritic without even playing the game.
Just how things go.

I'm not saying its the perfect option. But it's better then nothing is all I was saying. It's an option. Personally I've had a rather good experience with Xbox cloud when I've used it. (Mostly in hotel rooms when travelling). The only game I really wasn't able to play was Forza Horizon 5. Other then that it played pretty well for me considering it's over the internet. But, everyone's mileage will vary so....

Even if it´s years laters, most games on console exclusivity these days ended up on PC unless it´s Nintendo. I get that an up to date PC is way more expensive than a console, but at the end of the day, if you don´t want to loose on exclusives, PC is the way to go, at least currently.

It depends on a lot of factors and not just your internet speed.

My partner and I co-opped TMNT Shedder's Revenge on XCloud and there was no noticeable lag whatsoever for either of us. I've played Fallout and Doom, and at most there was a second or two of serious artifacting at launch while the stream stabilised.

Note, we live in a pretty small town, so our internet isn't great. It's impossible to make a blanket statement - people have to try it out and see if it works for them.

That is an option, but I don't like it, I prefer to have the complete game in my game library, if you like Starfield so much, another option is to sell the PS and buy an XBOX or a PC.
What is clear is that PS users will never be able to play Starfield.

It will come to the PS5 if sales are poor on Xbox/PC most likely so we can just wait it out or buy on the PC.

There have been a few Xbox only games that sneak on to the PS later on even after been told there will be NO PS version.

There's no way you actually believe that right? The cope is insane if you do.

I think not this time.

I think this game is going to sell like hotcakes. Especially if it comes out as one of the least buggy beth releases.....

They may try it and that is an option.

Which means Microsoft and Xbox had the foresight to give PlayStation players an option to play their games by going through a few hoops.

Had Sony purchased Bethesda then the only option to play the game would be to buy a PS5.

Yup. Which is why I think it was better if Bethesda was going to get purchased that MS did it.

Agreed. If Starfield was a PS5 exclusive, I wouldn't be playin' it. I don't do consoles.

Yeah I wouldn't be buying a console just to play one game. That's just an expensive waste of money. I have an Xbox Series X but I only use it to play a handful of games with family. Otherwise I'm on PC almost always.

I was going to buy it on PC so i care not if its coming to the PS5 but more than a few Xbox only games end up on the PS at some point. If it happens it happens but i will be playing on the PC so lose nothing and gain nothing what ever the outcome.
