It's a huge step backwards in comparison to Fallout 76.
Fallout 76 has a pretty big map. A lot bigger than Fallout 4. And you have everything on the same map. Literally everything, seamless. There are no loading screens, like in F4. Well, sometimes there are, but only to other big locations. And the game is completely dynamic. Those who play F76 will know what I'm talking about. Enemies fight and stuff is just happening, whether you are there to observe it or not. It's not scripted. Things, like events are happening, and other players are playing, and its all on a huge map. What I'm saying is, there is stuff, and it's pretty dense, on a huge map. It's filled with variety and content. There is something around every corner.

This game will have 1000 smaller maps. Plus a few dozen space "maps".
How many of these maps will have actual content? Like quests and factions, and enemies and all these things together on the same map? 10? 5? Will there even be a single big map with dense content? Will there be even a single map 1/4 the size of Skyrim with content? Or maybe you will land on a pretty empty planet, just to take a single quest, talk to someone and go to a cave to resolve the quest? Killing a few creatures in the "open" world?
Or go to a city, that's on an empty planet and do some dialogue there and go to an outpost, on the same planet and do a quest there?
Because they shot themselves in the foot with this 1000 ♥♥♥♥. I would rather have 5 planets, but with big maps, filled with content, just like any other Bethesda game. And this is not happening. The content will be sprinkled on top of a few dozens empty planets, and you will be constantly going places, from one "Diamond City" settlement to another. This is not what makes Bethesda games impressive. What impressive was, that all the stuff was on a single map, and dynamic and interactive. This won't have that.

Don't play then. Simple fix

How about you grow up and contribute to the conversation. It's not different. It's Fallout 4 with some space combat.

How can you even make any comparison when Starfield isn't even out yet so you have zero experience with it and only a little over 2 hours played in 76? Unless of course you played it on Bethesda.net before the switch to steam. And 76 has a crap ton of scripted encounters that spawn in at the same locations when someone gets close enough to trigger them.

Thinking, just think a little and you will figure out what their design is. They didn't have 10x Fallout 76 budget. It would make sense then.

And you contribute nothing to the conversation. How do you discuss anything in real life when you can't even defend your points of view?

Sorry but 76 is boring and repetitive now. Can't wait to play Starfield. 76 budget was as small as their in game camp budget.

What conversation are you expecting anyone here to contribute to? You're trying to compare a game that hasn't released yet to an older, completely unrelated game. There is no conversation, people are trying to tell you that. Wait until Starfield is out, then you can waste time making comparisons.

What are you doing here wasting your words? Don't you have something constructive to do? Go and do it!

Every planet will have content on it.
Every planet will have enemies on it.
Not every planet will have a faction on it.
Not every plant will have a quest on it.

Currently there are at least 100 planets with quests and a faction presence that includes enemies. There are at least 300 planets with 2/3 of those things.

Without spoiling too much of the second half of the main story, yes, there are areas on certain planets that are 1/4 the size of Skyrim with content.

The questing to be done in those areas is more involved than your attempt at oversimplification.

Uh-huh.

As time of OP's post, the OP has 2.2 hours and completed 6 (very minor) Achievements in Fallout 76.

Expert opinion, I think not

Listen, I don't care what the structure of the game is. But this is way less impressive than making a big map, and fill it with content, just like previous games were. This game will have many maps, with at most a few hours of content on any of them. And yes, i would rather have depth(few maps with a lot of content just like every Bethesda games) than wealth of content. A lot of players would. And they won't deliver that, you will have a few points of interest on every substantial map, and thats it. Meanwhile in F4, and F76 there is something everywhere, you don't need quest marks to discover something interesting. This game will have quest marks just to point to substantial stuff on pretty empty maps. Stop idolizing the game, and think a little ok? This will not have 10x the budget F76 had.
