Pre order skins bit meh
I mean I will get the game anyway but probably a few weeks after release.
I just didnt see anything great about the skins and once bitten twice shy with Bathesda, I prefer to sit on the fence because as we know, release day will be a test bed of issues.
Hopefully the pre order 5 days extra will discover much of the issues first.

Game looks $ucking amazing though.
My only worry was that the devs called their mech ship " Dumpster Fire ", I hope thats not a pre warning for whats to come.....

The direct was top tier without question. I also agree the skins are a bit meh. Modders will probably figure out how to unlock them in like a week anyway. I also agree with the no preordering. Latley I also agree it looks great. Hopefully it lives up to the hype.

They have only shared a small taste of all the skins that will be available. You won't be disappointed.

That's a good thing though.. means people who dont want to preorder wont be forced to do so to get all the coolest stuff like some games do

Yeah I think its more for those who like to collect stuff.
If it had a different character skin for the companion robot Id probably throw my credit card at it but as mentioned above , community modders will solve this.
Also I am so excited for community ship blue prints, some of you out there make the coolest $hit, far better than anything I can.
Fondor Haulcraft anyone? ;)

My experience with many kind of game with pre order item, often had little bit better stats item in early game that help. So while item might be meh, it's better than nothing and it's free if you pre order game, but once game came out, no chance to get that item, thought very few case or rare case game developers do gave away pre order item along game of the year edition version after game come out many year later, but that is very rare and most case, people do not had chance to get pre order item, some case, mod can get it, but other case, mod can't get it.

I think it's safe to pre order now rather than buy later after game come out, it's better "safe than I'm sorry"

I watched video and I do like what I see, and know history of microsoft and bethesda in past they create single game, it's safe to pre order since microsoft and bethesda just team up 2 year ago and microsoft make bethesda game bugfree as they can in one year push back.

Now Bethesda do create single player game amazing even bug here and there, but each time they create single player game, less bug, they get better at for PC, they been spent 7 year without Microsoft and Xbox in the way for PC version, I think, then Microsoft/xbox step down in and brought Bethesda just before final version of starfield go out and make Bethesda work one more year to polish the game (However, I wonder it's more for Xbox rather than PC version but still, I'm assmued whatever they find bug on Xbox, they fix bug on not just Xbox but PC version as well, I hopeful, again all Game come from PC, not Console.

Only downside is that modding issues, while starfield modding still get support, Creation club got in way, that might make modder not happy, same time Modder was not happy with Nexus as well due Nexus policy as well, but that is outside of Microsoft and Bethesda area.

In all in all, I think it's worth it to pre order rather than wait and buy game after game come out with less items/goodies, you still can refund game within 14 day and 2 hours once game come out even you pre order now 2 month later since game is not yet come out, what I understand, so why not pre order rather than later if you plan to get game come out with less goodies stuff? You can wait and not play game even you pre order, and see people review within 14 day once game come out, or try out 2 hours limited game, if you don't like it, you can refund it at that time, even you preorder 2 mouth,

Now big issues, I'm not sure 5 day early access for those pre order $100 count or do not count for 14 day, but I knew 2 hours might be count. Someone might want check with steam policy about those 5 day access, if it count even you didn't pre order $100 but $70, I guess it's cut down to 9 day refund, but you should had penty time to see people forum and review that 9 day, little more than week since game come out, to refund or not after you preorder now.

I count cost, and I think it's ok or fine to pre order now and wait to see anyone like it or hate it within day of 14 day or 9 day before no refund as long as you don't download and play game or play game up to 2 hours, not more than that.

If you had job/or passive income, this is no issues, but no job and no income, I do understand it's big issues, very costly for one who do not had job or no income passive or not rich.

I do suggest Count the cost.

I will preorder premium for sure. I just spend at least 500 hours in each Bethesda game since Daggerfall. So it is must have for me, and being able to play 5 days before the release is sweet.

Yeah, that IS pretty tempting.... I haven't even gotten the game yet, and I am already in withdrawal.... I don't think I have EVER so looked forward to a game..... :)
