star citizen looks like obsolete trash
that one hour deep dive made star citizen look like garbage in comparison. there is absolutely no reason anymore to treat star citizen as anything more than a scam.

Yeah, being able to buy a $25,000 ship on their site for USD, is absolutely insane.

That isn't a valid argument to make. Also as far as we know Diablo III was still in alpha 10 years after development started. The first beta wasn't announced until more than 10 years after development started.
Isn't it? Seems to me, you made my point quite nicely.

Your point that other games, far simpler games made by established studios mind you, do sometimes take over a decade to make? Yeah, it did make that point quite nicely.

If it took Blizzard over a decade to make Diablo III why are you so upset over it taking CIG over a decade to make arguably the most ambitious game ever made?

It actually isn't a valid argument to make though because no two games are the same and no two studios are the same. It can take Bethesda three years with 70 developers to make something like Skyrim while it takes Blizzard 11 years with a few hundred developers to make Diablo III.

Diablo three wasn't in continuous development though. That was a start/stop/start plan. SC HAS been in CONTINUOUS development since 2012...... and they still don't have a playable game. You can play with some aspects of it, sure, but, at this point, its just a sim, and a bare bones one at that. You can sing it's praises, and attempt to blow sunshine up my skirts as much as you want, but, you won't convince me that there will EVER be a full release of a functioning game. And at this point, the evidence weighs heavily in my favor.

The most expensive ship on their site currently is $435 though. The most expensive one they've ever offered was $3000. They have offered packages that contained multiple ships for that much money but never a single one. And before anyone decides to jump in with "well that's just stupid" or "why would anyone pay that much for a digital ship" there's no reason to. I'm not, and have never, advocated for anyone to ever buy any of those ridiculously priced ships.

Those are purely for people that want to help fund development. Nobody should spend any money on SC without fully understanding the state of the game and without trying it during a free trial period.

Why is it so hard for people to be honest about this game?

There is actually zero evidence that Blizzard stopped working on Diablo III though. It moved from Blizzard North to their Irvine office in 2006 and was partially rebooted but development was never paused.

You can decide on your own definition of a playable game if you want but what's there is a game and it is playable. Those are objectively true. It's also not finished and likely won't ever live up to the developer's vision, and certainly not player's expectations, but it is a game and they are trying to do their best to make that vision come to life.

And a quick google shows that the most expensive ship is in fact the 600i Executive Edition at a whopping $25,000 USD. So once again, Patrick lied about Star Citizen and tried to harass people who pointed out basic factual info.

And of course, while you "unlock" it by spending $25,000 it is a CONCEPT SHIP and doesn't actually even exist in game lmao

False. The 600i executive edition was a reward for people that spent $25,000 total. It is not a $25,000 ship that you can buy.

And then there is the whole thing of: How many games are out there, where you have to buy the basic game, just to play, and then everything else is hundreds of dollars more??? SC is a scam. Plain and simple.

"False, you don't buy it for $25,000. They give it to you if you give them $25,000"

You can buy the ships in-game without spending more than the money you spent on the base game though. Plenty of games have hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of microtransactions.

Being disingenuous because you can't admit to being wrong, gotta love it.

I bought a Ford Bronco recently for $50k and as a bonus they gave me a nice poster and a hammock. With your logic I paid $50k for the poster and the hammock lol

Plenty of games have microtransactions, now how many pre-Alpha games have hundreds of thousands of dollars in pay to win microtransactions?

It's been your MO every time someone mentions how big of a scam Star Citizen is. That and threatening them.
