Will there be a companion app for phone/tablet/smart watch?

I don't know why this question amuses me so but, it does.

I still have the .apk backed up for the Fallout 4 Companion V1.2. It's actually still installed on my Nvidia Sheild tablet and still works.

It's useless but also an interesting novelty.

I know this topic is a month old but I would like to see a pipboy like app such as what we got with Fallout 4. I don't think it was widely used but I did like the ability to use my iPad as a second screen without the need for a second monitor (I play on 3440x1440 and I don't want a second computer screen anyways).

It's not announced yet, but as part of one of the upcoming DLCs there will be a bounty hunting companion app where you can use counter intelligence NPCs to predict when and where bounty hunters will attack you (if you are wanted). You can also use it to track NPCs that have bounties on them that you can collect.

They have one for fallout 4 but it's very basic and given up years later.

I rather go with finding out the Fallout universe inside Starfield: trying to go to Earth, finding that there are restrictions into visiting it, managing to bypass those restrictions and when you land on our home planet: bang, a postapocaliptic wasteland, and getting greeted by a a bunch of raiders, a group of scrappers on rags, or even a BoS Knight in Power Armor, while getting asked: "Where do YOU come from? What's with your clothes? Do you come from a Vault or something?"
That would be nuts.

I wouldn't expect a Starboy Pipfield app; we've seen that kind of thing in Fallout 4, and it was barely used except by the absolute hardcores.

No announcement made about it, so yeah - not happening.

Nutz but something I'd love! Could also do a fallout 4 dlc that ties in visitors from starfield. Maybe tracking aliens lol

Mobile apps have to request access to various information sources like location or contacts. If they do try to access stuff there will be a pop up dialog box where you can accept or deny access but also if they try to request access for things that don’t make sense there is often major pushback as there has been for apps in the past.

For example, I can’t imagine why it would need your location. If they try to access your location without giving an adequate rationale people will make a stink about it.
