Maybe you want to share some screenshots of your adventures? Or possibly tell a little story about your character. Then welcome to The Coffee Pod, a place to escape and just kick back!

If you're new to Starfield, or just having problems, and not sure where to begin ... Just ask. All are welcome! If you can deal with cramped quarters and a vacuum beyond yonder bulkhead, then you are in the right place.

This is just a place to hang, chat, ask questions, and get abused by forum regulars. Feel free to drop by ... We might not have all the answers, but we probably already know the people that do or who are working on it, and we will be happy to help.

Bashing, spamming, self promoting, advertising, and trolling will simply provide us with target practice and make you look really lame. Please leave politics and religion at the door as well.

Personal attacks against forum guests based on country, race, ethnicity, lifestyle preferences, and planet, system, or galaxy of origin will not be tolerated in any way ... Period, and we will be enforcing the moderators rules around here ... Period.

Keep it clean (mostly); while the game is listed as mature, a lot of the people aren't.
Keep it civil (always); arguing a little is fine, just keep it friendly.

Grr. Spent the last 45 minutes trying to troubleshoot Place your own doors when I finally realized the answer is that I was using a Tayo 1x1 A (which does not have side connectors.....which is why doors wouldn't work).

So now I have to go stand in the corner and think about it for 15 minutes as punishment.

I can swear I have done this exact thing before (maybe more than once before).

But it's been in the 40's up til now (finally got up to 51) - and had some cold rain. And no driveway that needs shoveling, anyway!

Ah, now I see the snow you were referring to, Craig - but that's way up in the Panhandle of Florida - almost not even Florida.

just cold and the dumpsters and recycle dumpster in the back parking lot of my apartment building , all the dumpsters have slippery black ice leading up to there dumpster and the side street that leads to my building, the side walks for the side street also have black ice, the boulevard sides walks going to the plaza's nearby are clear and no ice on the side walks

it warmed up to -11°C°F at 2:18 pm , at 7 am it was -21°C°F when I went out for drinks, coffee and other errands around 7 am

So just did that Hell's Gate/Doom CC.

Really enjoyed it. Especially with Gore Mod (finally got it working fairly well). I think the new update today really made it shine.

I've read that it's supposed to be fairly good. May have to give it a try.

Kingath is a very talented and capable mod author, for sure. My question is, does his creation actually fit into the lore - or is it just the equivalent of those mods that add something that may be fun, but simply makes no sense as regards the actual story/theme of a game?

Seems to me, that DOOM and it's lore, really have no place in the Starfield lore, if it is really just DOOM comes to Starfield. As fun as it may be, creating content from actual real SciFi material) (Larry Niven's stories, The Foundation series, - heck, even StarWars), makes more sense than incorporating a quasi-horror monster game theme into it.

However, I could be completely wrong and the mod may have no concrete relation to DOOM at all, other than the name.

That is the beauty of Starfield. It is dimensional. As such a dimensional rift from a Doom dimension is defiinately in the lore of Starfield without question imo.
