Here have a sandwich. I've got a ton in my cargo hold and it's good food for thought.
Sexiest Asari are green[64.media.tumblr.com].
:p
IBM was as known as Coca Cola back in the days.
Times changing.
I have been hearing rumors for a while that Bethesda has their own super-sexy alien race planned, but have been keeping it under wraps as they plan to make "First Contact" situations a big part of the series and expand it over time, with the first game mostly being about humanity thinking it's largely alone and any aliens like that will be closer to the finale and worked into sequels and stuff.
I remember there were some major accusations even before the whole "wokeness" thing started that Bethesda did not know how to enable making attractive female characters and they should consider hiring some of the modders who were "fixing" this problem. The point being that whether it's Elder Scrolls or Fallout, most of the people, especially the women, as often or not look like someone lit a Thalidomide baby on fire and it somehow grew to adult hood despite the hideous burns.
At any rate on several occasions allegedly Bethesda answered that this "Starfield" thing was going to change this completely, and all the accusations of their ugly female elf models would go away with some of the aliens they had planned for their new engine, and a big part of the problem was them re-using the same basic creation tool.
Now this could be wrong of course, but we will see what happens. Allegedly as "Star Control 2" was one of their major inspirations for "Star Field" there is eventually going to be a race heavily based on the Syreen from that series.
That said, it's pretty obviously they can't use Bioware's aliens or those from any other IP directly. You'll just have to hope that the rumors about the new sexy lady aliens are true, and that they will hit the same sweet spot races like the Asari did.
Despite all this ranting though, I admit I am less excited by the prospect of Kirking my way through the galaxy than simply having a good game that allows me to do stuff both on ship and on ground. Romance and sexual stuff is fun, but has always been a tertiary thing for me in RPG titles, I mean when that tickles my fancy I can just watch porn or play porn games.
