How many of you get a Vomit like feeling at 30FPS
A serious question, I feel like vomiting if my game runs at 30 FPS - It could be because of my eyes? I don't wear glasses or have eyesight issues (not that I know of) - I was wondering if this is just me or can anyone else relate to that.

Yep - Good thing we are not on consoles... 60fps is my low end limit these days...

To me 60 FPS are already unplayable, it must be at least 80+ FPS.

We played at 30 fps for many years... a stable 30 fps is stil far better than a choppy 40-60 fps. Then it depends of games : Wouldn't care to play a 4X at 30 fps, but a Redout 2 at 30fps is obviously more problematic.

agree, I generously feel sick - maybe on big screen TV I might be fine but on PC, I cant handle it.

Same. I can't do 30fps. Not sure how consolers do it.

Let’s see how far 3080ti will get me. Maybe time to upgrade to 4090. :epiczombie:

I played CP2077 just fine at low-30's when it came out. I've never been that fussed about framerates (which is good, because I refuse to pay $400+ for a GPU), so it's all fine.

I tried a couple of my games at 120+ when I got my new GPU this year (RX 6650xt, $250. still too expensive, but no choice). I couldn't tell the difference except that the cooling fans got a lot louder, so I turned vsync back on at 60.

I play Star Wars single player games at 24fps with the blur cranked all the way to max just like the movies. Does that count?

(Someone went off about how I shouldn't advocate low FpS as if I'm not allowed to experience single player games the way I wanna and that experiencing single player games how I wanna affects everyone else somehow.)

I'm fine with 30 fps if there is no other option, Ive been playing at that framerate for pretty much 30 years. It's like watching a movie at the standard 24 fps you are just used it it.

Sure it might look fine in your opinion, but the input lag is horrible and that is a fact. At 60-80+ FPS it just feels much more responsive.

Yeah, Stable is much more important than High for me.

I don't think my reflexes are good enough to notice that.
(or it's the combination of an ancient keyboard that I really like, an $8 logitech mouse, and who-knows-what stats on my relatively-cheap monitor. On top of my bad reflexes & glasses. :D )

"Input lag" to me is when I'm playing something online and the network latency gives a 0.5+ second delay in button presses.

Input lag never seemed to affect me any. Maybe I have spider-sense or am just so used to it that I know how to compensate. I've never experienced the "feels more responsive" that people keep telling me exists at high FPS. My current PC can do 1080p at 120. (It's a beast.) Never seemed to feel any different control-wise and look so artificial for a cinematic experience.

Maybe, "responsiveness" isn't in the control and framerate but the application's handling of timing (using the older method of a single timing thread for both building the scene and handling input instead of the modern method of having separate threads with unlocked controller timing) and user perception biases.
