Will it be a bad game like Redfall, Crackdown 3 and Halo Infinite?

Microsoft's track record for releasing high quality games has not been good to say the least. I hope the failures of their other studios don't spill over into Starfield.

Redfall was rushed out the door by a studio that lost 70% of the talent that made their past games a success. Starfield was delayed a year, at Microsofts behest not Bethesdas, to polish it and is made by pretty much the same team that made the past games a commercial success. I have no doubt Starfield will be a good game. The exclusivity and marketing it heavily for Gamepass is what ultimately will eat at its success not the game itself.

If Redfall had drop in and drop out multplayer it wouldn't be that bad. It's not great. But not bad either. But without being able to play with other plays by just logging and finding people playing the game really isn't playable all the way. It's based around group play but doesn't support making a group easy.

It's possible, if fo76 is an indicator then maybe but Bethesda has done good single player for the most part.

FO 76 didn't sell well. Modding isn't possible. And it doesn't really allow you to play fallout the way people played fallout. A lot of the fun of Bethesda games is collecting junk items.

i dont count modding as part of the experince i mod games i enjoyed playing but i wanna add more then what they offer on my subsequent play thrus FO76 did improve a little over time but honestly its still pretty boring as they have put a bit to much into MMO style aspects rather then what people really wanted which was a coop skyrim or fallout not a massive online game just those games with friends lol

Redfall is the red headed stepchild of the family, unwanted even by their own developers. If MS could have left Redfall out of the zenimax acquistion, they would likely have done it in a heartbeat but alas, they had to buy Redfall along with everything else.

I'm not sure how good starfield is gonna be but at the very least I'm sure MS dedicated most of their attention to this game which would probably also explain why Redfall ended up in the state that it did.

Microsoft had next to nothing to do with Redfall. Crackdown 3 was almost completely remade in a year due to Epic buying Cloudgine, and Halo Infinite's campaign and fundamental gameplay are good.

They also released Forza Horizon 5, Grounded, Age of Empires IV, MS Flight Sim, Pentiment, Psychonauts 2, and more games that were very well received.

How bad is Halo Infinite? I tried the multiplayer when it released and the gameplay felt pretty solid imo.

The gameplay itself is really good and the campaign is great. The multiplayer has some network issues and suffers from desync.

It was actually okay at launch, got significantly worse over the first several months after, and has been slowly improving back to where it was but it's still kind of luck of the draw on whether a match will be smooth or not.

No, but I could see it being as "bad" as Cyberpunk which is probably the most fair thing to say. not PS4 / Xbox one level bad though lol. that'll be a very hard thing to do, even for Bethesda.

This game is either going to be as good Skyrim (or better) or its going to let a lot of people down and be mediocre. "Wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle" sort of thing.

with how many people have begun to assume all sort of features thats not confirmed, i think a lot of people will be let down because they set themself up for it.

And they can't blame Todd or Sean for it... but it won't stop them from doing it anyway.
