An 8 GB should run Starfield on medium high settings i am guessing.
Something like 75% to 85% of the install size of video games is textures, and those require video memory storage to run properly and quickly, followed by RAM. So look at video memory size when getting video cards.
Video games are getting to the point textures wont get any larger because they are "photo realistic" is the term. Larger topic. The next consoles and video cards should be capable of photo realism full video games but not the current gen. The top games will of course be super expensive to make x10 manpower or something.
Have to assume photo realism is already around, but high fidelity movies are nothing new at all and IMAX has been around for 20 years at least, so its just video games catching up is all.

No one knows for sure man - But i think a 3070ti would easliy do 1080p on ultra and maybe 1440p on high... with at least a locked 60fps... But thats assuming there is no RT/DLSS which could change things up quite a bit...
Play them yeah, but you will have to stick to 1080p and turn some settings down to get a decent frame rate... For now you should be ok...
You should try to upgrade if possible.
if the game has DLSS or FSR (FSR in your case) then that could help alot.
and also pray that it is optimized, i really don't want another boston where i STILL can't get stable 60 with a OC'ed 3080 and a OC'ed i7-8700k
I do not think a RX580 supports Ray Tracing. But I think you will be fine playing the game as long as you do not have high expectations on the settings for the game's graphics. It is dumb of a company to make a new game now, which has a very limited range of required system specs.
The reveal trailer video showed Starfield having some improved graphics over say Fallout 4, but nothing spectacular.
Without question. But, of course, not likely with everything on Ultra in 1440p and expecting 60fps ^^
I get stable 120 FPS everywhere but boston, if you get stable FPS there id love to see footage of that
You'll be fine, as I doubt Starfield will be anywhere near as demanding as CP2077.
Also, any sane developer will obviously allow any RT features to be turned off in the options.
