Depends if we get more or less than 1000 planets and not just a few planets and lots of moons, asteroids, and other barren lifeless space rocks. I will be counting each planet and I will know if I have been cheated out of my 1000 planets and will refund too
Haha good luck with that... And it would not surprise me if the 1000 planets includes moons too... So prepare to be disappointed and get a refund... Having 10 planets + moons per system seems like a bit much to me... And im totally ok with that as the number of planets does not really matter, its the quality that really counts...
I'd be surprised if a lot of people make it past visiting more than 500+ planets. If you take a look at No Man's Sky's Achievements there's an achievement called "Take a Deep Breath" it's reching the center of the galaxy in survival mode and only 1.2% of players have it. Then there's "To Live Forever" Reach the center of the galaxy in Permadeath mode at 0.6%. I can't imagine that normal mode would be much more than either of those 2. So, I'm guessing that most people more than likely find a system or a couple of systems in the Euclid galaxy they like and make them home rather than continually exploring. Then again, Euclid Galaxy alone has around 300 billion planets so, I could be totally wrong haha.
Yeah i dont get this idea of even wanting to explore all 1000 planets... I mean in my mind they are there for radiant/random quests that will be sending me all over the place and that's cool and will keep me busy, but the idea of just going from planet to planet just 'because' seems like a bit of a waste of time...
I mean its like Elite Dangerous or NMS - There is no need to explore every planet...
True, no need to, but I probably will. I like the exploring, if just to see something different or possibly find something interesting. Maybe some sweet alien armor haha... anyway, I made it to galaxy 178 in NMS and probably visited a ridiculous amount of planets.
I think with only 1000 planets in Starfield they can make a lot of them far more interesting. I'm betting quite a few of them have some large ruins to explore. Probably where we'll find some of the relics. I'm totally nerding out here! AHHHH!!!
I mean yeah if it turns out there is a reason to go to all planets as there is something interesting to find sure, i will prob go to them all too... But we know lots of them are just barren and are for just base building and resource gathering so we'll see...
I love exploring too but I don't want to explore empty space just to grind for materials for the sake of it.
What if its the best game for 10 years? Can we have troops for ship?
