you're not special, you could've posted this in any other thread about literally the same thing
Pre ordering in general? Yes, stop that.
But what does this have to do with this game, especially with this game not having gameplay footage?
It's likely most moddable engine used by AAA studios.
If you look at Nexus you can see that most mods are in Creation engine games Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3-4 and New Vegas.
In most other games modding anything other than simple texture swaps is pain in the ass and even texture swaps can be.
Fallout 4's announcement trailer wasn't until 5 months before Fallout 4's release.
Bethesda have traditionally made a point of not showing or talking about their games until they're very close to releasing. Todd Howard has said in interview that it's intentional, so that when it comes out it's like a big surprise.
It's actually unusual that we've gotten as much information about Starfield as we have at this point. I think that Microsoft might've had something to do with Bethesda both delaying the game for a year, and also with some of the information drops we've had for the game so far.
It's still largely the same. Bethesda said they've given the engine its biggest overhaul since Oblivion. So, there's still a lot to it that's carrying over from the previous version.
That said, it's good to hear that it has gotten a large overhaul.
No, the vast majority of people who will buy this game can't hear you, and even if they could they don't care.
I won't preorder. You won't preorder. Millions of others will, and there's nothing you or I can do about it.
