Thoughts after playing the Demo.
I had this game on my wishlist since the hair color of the MC was black :reimu_a: , i am really glad to see how far the game has come. So close to release now cant wait to play on launch. Love the new look of the MC now, the design of her character model and art looks just right not too much but not too little either. But i do wish if we may get the OG character look as a skin as some hidden boss or loot reward in game.

I have a total of 3.5 hours in the demo now and the game feels pretty smooth. I am running this one a gaming laptop intel i7 and a 1660ti gpu, i played at 1080p settings in graphics with Vsync off performance was 60fps 95% of the time though but i did notice that the game was more gpu heavy than cpu. Majority of the time the gpu usage would be 38% to 40% but the cpu usage would stay 20% or under. The combat animations and feedback was pretty fluid for me, fast paced and action heavy.

The combat in this game is very good, I quite liked the hack and slash combat with the combos, reminds me a little of the DMC games. Also the parry system and quick doge are pretty neat , i really enjoy those type of mechanics. The game could use some polish here and there with some of the enemy animations and designs but i am sure those are likely being worked on in the actual build version ( but i thought i should still say that), like for example some of tells on the parry and counter-able attacks on the bosses could be a bit more clearer other wise the boss designs are pretty good.

I really liked the character development and skill tree, however i should point out that the currency system you have for unlocking the skills i can see it becoming a bit of a grind fest however that is only when considering the demo which i assume is only the tutorial area. I am hoping that scales up well as we progress through the different stages of the game.

In the Demo i have only seen the twin knives, in the trailer i have only seen the scythe. While those are cool , I really hope that there are more different types of weapons like a whip , Katana type sword and long sword etc. and those weapons are unique and have some sort of significant place in the lore and story of the game and its world. A good example would be how it was done in games like Witcher 3 or Elden Ring or if sticking to metroidvania game Afterimage.

PS: This is a note at the end for the Devs , i have noticed some people complaining about the character being over sexualized. Don't listen to those they are just typical western sjw group who can bee seen complaining about the same things in other places, MC as she is now looks just fine and its well proportioned when compared to a normal human irl. Your character designers actually did a good job keeping the balance. (as i am not a westerner myself i have no idea why a certain group of them make such a fuss of these things when most westerners i met irl actually like good looking characters smh )
