Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX

Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX

Will there ever be a new Monster Rancher title?
I have been a huge fan of the franchise ever since the release of the very first game in the 90's. I've played through all the mainline games, as well as most, if not all of the handheld versions. Go ahead and call me greedy, but I want *more*. I would LOVE to see a brand new Monster Rancher in this day and age. It would make me (and likely many others) so, so happy if they made a new one, with even more monster combinations! ...And maybe some major online features?

I'm curious about why there hasn't been a new game in so long. Is there some sort of licensing/company issue preventing the devs from making a new game? Or do they think there just isn't enough interest? If it's the latter, I feel like streamers could easily solve the issue by spreading the word.

There are two titles coming out this year:

LINE: Monster Farm -- A Mobile gacha game, so far JP only announcement though, but it is region free so technically you can play it

Ultra Kaiju Monster Rancher -- Based off of MR1&2, these are raising Kaiju in the Ultraman series. It definitely has physical release for Nintendo Switch in Japan and S.E. Asia, and is getting a Western release but unsure at this time if Western is digital only, or on which additional platforms if any.

However, no announcements of a pure/new mainline title as of yet.

I try to avoid gacha games due to bad habits, but the Ultraman one looks AWESOME! Thank you for pointing these out to me.
Hold up, ultraman AND monster rancher? Sign me up for the western release wow.

UKMR looks to be scheduled for October 20 release.
As far as I know, Western audience will only get digital release, BUT ... Southeast Asia is getting an English physical copy. Since it is region free, if you want a physical copy you could order from S.E.A. otherwise it's digital only for Western (so far).

Both new games coming out look absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible.
I´m hoping Gust will pick up the Monster Rancher series, even if it´s just to make an Atelier Monster Rancher game. They have good (anime) art and enjoyable characters, interesting combat and minigames...kind of similar to Monster Rancher actually. They should be able to revitalize the series for a bit
