This CryEngine Error That Impacts All CryEngine Games
So long story short, something happened on my Win 11 system to where I can't play ANY game that is built with CryEngine. I started with Crysis Remastered, got the error message of "Cryinput.dll could not be loaded. This is likely due to not having Xinput support installed. Please install the most recent version of the Direct X runtime." So I tried various games that use Cry Engine, old and new, and received variations of this error. I have Windows 11 with all the most recent Windows updates installed. Nvidia GeForce 1650 with the most recent drivers installed. 16 GBs of RAM. I can't really uninstall Direct X but I tried to re-install it from the web. I've followed various troubleshooters I've found online and so far, nothing helps with this issue. I can go back to Cry Engine games released in 2009 or 2010 and can't get them to run, I'll still get some version of this message. Not sure what else to do beyond having to re-install Windows. Has anyone ever fixed this problem?

kensington trackball mouse software may cause this:

Could be some other software/driver. Google for "Cryinput.dll could not be loaded" and search for solutions.
It's not a Win 11 specific error, many players including myself run this game on Win 11 just fine.

Thanks for the response. I have searched high and low and there just doesn't seem to be a fix. I've tried all of the solutions I've found. It seems to be related to Direct X, but with DX 12 built into Windows, you can't uninstall it like you used to be able to, and then do a clean install of it.
