Can't finish the tutorial

I am trying to finish the very final segment of the tutorial where you hire the employee. I placed the ad day 1, hired the man day 2, now on day 3 I am supposed to wait for him to come to work.......but he never does. I can see him standing out the front of the hotel but he never makes any move to come inside, despite me waiting the entire day (I watching something on Youtube while I patiently waited). I am tempted to just skip this part of the tutorial, but what worries me is that in the main game I am going to hire people and they are simply never going to come in to work. Just stand outside.

Weirdly I can go out and talk to the guy and send him on break (despite the fact that he is already not doing anything whatsoever).

So the kind of bugs I am seeing in the tutorial, is this what I have to look forward to from employees in the main game. As I am pretty tempted to just refund it if it is this broken.

Oh okay! I will have to go back to the tutorial. I just went into the first challenge afterwards and havent hired anyone (I am still doing okay) but now I will try hiring someone

I have this same problem and tried assigning him and he still stays outside.

I had the same bug in the tutorial. I just send him on break and it worked for me.
