There are some positives to Wall of Insanity, it looks decent enough, it runs really well and the guns work and have recoil.

That's about all I can think of though. The camera is way too close to the main character, the enemies are dull, movement is floaty yet restrictive, the game tries to be survival horror by giving you only 2 inventory slots at the start, yet you can have as much ammo as you like making the survival part pointless, there is an odd filter in some sections and you can get softlocked unless you reload your game. Wall of Insanity is somewhere just below mediocrity but not outright horrible. Just incredibly forgettable...

Wall Of Insanity is a serviceable third person shooter. It never reaches greatness as several things hold it back.

First is the incredibly garish colour/lighting choices. Many of the area in the initial house and even the midgame caves seem horrible overexposed.
Shadows are terrible. You'll see enemy shadows through walls or your own shadow against the wall when sliding down a ladder, which doesn't have one.
Speaking of ladders, this game has fall damage but only on extreme drops. The only place this is ever likely to happen is by ladders ironically as you can fall down their shafts

Most of the general combat encounters are rather trivial because you never need to stand and ready your weapon, which combined with your backwards walk speed means you can safely back pedal while erasing your adversaries.
As mentioned elsewhere and immediately apparent to anyone with functioning eyes is the closeness of the camera. It's not awful, but in narrow spaces or close to walls you cross hair is almost being obscured by your right arm. Far worse is that this game does not have shoulder switching at all, you are permanently stuck on the left of the screen, which sucks when you want to peek out around a corner to the left.
HILARIOUS OVERSIGHT: There is no need to ever reload your weapon, when you can just cycle through your (3) weapons to find it instantly reloaded.

Another review claims you can carry "as much ammo as you like", this is nonsense. There is a hard cap for the two weapons you carry. You cannot pick up ammo for weapons you are not carrying. The game is pretty generous with ammo dumps to replenish at, but they won't necessarily feature ammo for either of your current guns, encouraging/forcing you to trade out firearms occasionally.
I enjoyed all but one of the weapons, The "Taiga-12" a shotgun(?) which feels less like it has recoil and more like you're looking forward one frame and staring at the stars the next. It genuinely feels like your game skipped frames and is very disorienting.

Hey more word association. Orienting: There's no maps EVER. The game progresses linearly, but within each of the levels are several branching paths to explore before exhausting your options. The levels are never of an overwhelming size so you won't find yourself getting lost.

The elephant in the room: Wall of Insanity does come across as a stripped back Resident Evil 4 if you abandoned all pretense of explicit puzzles and kept exploration for keys and opening pathways by shooting at the rear side of barricaded doors and such. There is a small veneer of a story about an Elite Squad of whatever soldiers going into a spooky house before someone traps them behind a cosmic portal. This at least gives enough framing to the bizarre shifts in visuals and environments you see past the house area.

I'm not sure there was a market for Action Survival Horror games that have you blasting spear chucking Kamala lookalikes and floating priests that shoot lasers, but WOI is at least nailing that.

Note: It took me 3 hours before I realised I could run with R2 ahaha christ.

Wall of insanity is passable close quarter third-person shooter where you will be fighting against occult forces.

Pros:
- Runs at perfect 60fps
- Maps are easy to follow through (e.i. you are not likely to get stuck somewhere get a key somewhere to unlock a door)
- Enemies are pretty smart and have different combat mechanics.
- Music and sound.

Cons
- Camera view, when you get to close to a wall the characters fills the screen
- Only 2 gun slots and strange weapon progression (First of all the shotgun ♥♥♥ because its too slow, the glock is crap, hk is good but runs out of ammo quick, deagle is great and hk shotgun even better. I dont see the point in later levels that you have to pickup the crappier shotgun or even glock because you run out of hk, deagle or hk shotgun ammo and the only available guns are tier 1 guns)
-The first few maps are claustrophobic and you don't have enough space to fight enemies that sometimes pop behind you.
- The storyline is not enough compelling or detailed enough and is composed of reading notes.
- Some light effect is like looking at the sun and that is annoying.

Cool little fps. Nice creature design. I like it very much.

Okish a bit janky indie survival horror. Even though it's more like an horror themed shooter. Can be played in third or first person. Both works good enough. I feel like it is a bit too long for it's own good and inventory space is pretty tight with just 2 slots at the beginning but you can add additional slots even though I just found 2 more and the only items that take inventory space are health, armor, grenades and keys/lockpicks. But even more annoying is that you can only carry 2 weapons at a time and max ammo for each weapon is pretty low which means you often have to let go of a weapon and pick up another one as at some point you barely get ammo for a certain weapon if any.

Played on Linux using Proton Experimental and everything works as it should, Videos playback fine, and the Game runs Great.

Indie Survival Horror Game, and it's a pretty good Game for the Price, it should take around 3 to 4 Hours on your first run, Graphics are okay, some strange lighting (Colour, brightness, etc) but as this is a weird Horror game then it might be what the Dev's wanted it to look like, Sound is okay, Game play is pretty good, it's a 3rd person Survival Horror Shooter but can be played in First Person View (thank you dev's), just press "C" when playing to go between 3rd and First Person Mode. very much like most Survival Horror Games, Just walk around the maze like levels and shoot every monster you see or try to run away, pick up ammo/health/lock picks/armour/and keys also you start with only 2 inventory slots but you can find more as you play/find them, You can only have 2 guns and 1 Knife, you can change the Guns but the Knife cannot be changed and of course big boss battle at some point.

Anyway Good Indie Game and i Like it.

This is a Great Game Would Recommend Giving it a Try if You Like Dead Space or Resident Evil and it can be a bit clunky but that is part of the fun of it, it is a cool and mysterious Game and as I Say it It's like Dead Space But Without Aliens Pillars and Replaced with Demonic Occult Stuff on a more plain style like the original resident evil game.

The concept and ideas thrown into this game are really great, and for it's price the game is actually really fun to play, but despite of my recomendation I would like to mention the more weak points of the game as I think that those are what you might need to know before buying the game:

-The cutscenes are quite low res and could be better done, but they are not bad at all.
-The camera can be sometimes bad placed and even create some popping at certain rooms and spaces.
-The combat system is veeeeery simple from what I've played, but fun, the weakest part of it is the lack of good feedback when shooting.
