No Points for Fastest Lap?

I'm on Career Mode with Williams and my boy Alex managed to set the Fastest Lap at Monaco with a set of Mediums for the 2nd Stint.

I was so happy. 1 point would mean we shoot up to P8 in the Constructors. But when the end of the race came we were awarded no points for the fastest lap.

Has anyone experienced this? Am I missing Something?

Only top 10 can get a fastest lap point. The only thing you do with fastest lap outside of top 10 is at least take that point away from someone else.

Exactly explained. One of the first 10 get the Extra Point if he / later evtl. she manages it to take and to hold.

Remember the points system can change too in subsequent seasons; in my career mode (3rd season), there's only points awarded to the top 6 and no points for fastest lap.

Same for me and its dumb. Sure im Always at the top, but it would at least reward certain AI teams.
