cause it's licensed. It's written literally everywhere. Clearly you've no idea what a licensed product means and which rules licensed things have to follow
are you serious? they have obviously have licensing for the drivers. you just sound dumb
The pilots' helmets have sponsors.
So if you're in Ferrari and sign Verstappen, it would be very rare to see him in his real helmet because of the sponsors.
I think they have made the best decision to put generic helmets on drivers who change teams.
(I'm sorry for my English.)
I don't know what license agreement F1 and Frontier have, but just like the teams have sponsors, the drivers do too, and those sponsors are usually put on the helmets. Therefore, the sponsorships of the pilots and teams are linked and it is not so easy to change them.
And yes, I agree with you that it would be cool to be able to change the sponsors of the cars or the helmets. But being a licensed game, we shouldn't expect that kind of thing.
(It also depends on the agreement that F1 and Frontier have, if they give him more or less freedom, but I don't think a Ferrari sponsor would like to see his brand on a Mercedes or RedBull)
One thing would be to make a Generic model for driver helmets, so they make a Alonso helmet with out sponsors for when that driver changes teams.
The thing i find funny is I - Williams, and HAAS have both switched to Renault, Aston Ferrari, Yet we still have our Merc / Ferrari logos on the car :p This is a simple easy decal switch - Hell the EA manager from 1999 could do this along with allowing you to change the sponsors on the cars - putting say certain red and white cigarette brands on a Mclaren, and other things. I find it sad that a game from 20+ years ago had more to it graphically than we do here
thank god someone else understands this. its such a small thing, but super annoying tbh. I didnt even think of F1 2022. Glad to know its mostly Frontier being lazy
The F1 game lets them keep their helmets. There's no reason AT ALL why this game can't do that
